Every groom starts with two gentle washes using natural shampoo and conditioner, specially formulated for double coats to loosen dead hair and keep the coat soft, shiny, and healthy.
Once clean, your dog is hand blow-dried and thoroughly brushed out in our calm, cage-free salon. This step is fundamental to removing loose hair and promoting healthy skin and coat before the styling begins.
From there, our groomer tidies the coat outline, feet, and hygiene areas using light scissor work to maintain the coat's natural texture and structure. This helps preserve the coat's health and function, just as nature intended.
We finish with nail trimming, ear cleaning, and hygiene maintenance, and a light spritz of scent to leave your dog feeling fresh and ready to shine.

Every groom is tailored to your dog, so the time varies depending on their size, coat condition, and temperament. On average, a full groom for a double-coated breed takes around two hours. We'll give you an estimated collection time when you drop off and let you know in advance if anything changes.
We recommend a full groom every six to eight weeks. Regular grooming removes loose undercoat, prevents matting, and keeps the coat healthy and comfortable. Your groomer will advise you on the right frequency for your dog based on their coat and lifestyle.
If your dog has matting, we'll discuss the best approach with you before we begin. We don't offer a de-matting service as it can cause unnecessary discomfort. In most cases, shaving the affected areas is the kindest option. The severity and location of the mats may affect the style and duration of the groom, but you'll be fully informed before anything is done. After the groom, your groomer will advise on how to prevent matting between visits.
A double coat groom focuses on removing dead, loose undercoat to promote healthy skin, improve air circulation, and reduce shedding, while preserving the protective topcoat. We do not clip or scissor double-coated breeds. Cutting the coat compromises its natural ability to regulate temperature, insulate, and protect against the elements, and can lead to skin issues or long-term coat damage. Our focus is on maintaining the coat's natural texture, health, and function.
We just need a few details to get the ball rolling! Every dog is unique, and this helps us tailor their grooming experience and book an appointment that fits your schedule.
