Meet the Team

I'm Courtny-Marie, and I've been part of the Hackney Barkers team since 2022.

My passion for animals began early, always naturally drawn to dogs and eager to spend time around them. This led me into grooming in 2018, where I started as a bather in a high-volume salon, building the core foundations of coat preparation, drying, and safe handling. Alongside this, I developed my skills independently, building confidence through hands-on practice and repetition.

A key part of my journey has been my Toy Poodle, Koko, whom I began grooming myself. This experience helped shape my eye for styling and strengthened my progression into full grooming work. In 2024, I competed in my first grooming competition, placing in my category.

At Hackney Barkers, I am known for my dedication, enthusiasm, and steady improvement, always focused on learning and delivering careful, well-finished grooms.
